It seems like there's a common thing for gamers of Dragonica to enjoy anime as well.
So we need a thread...
Here it is!

Here goes everything related to anime and other weeabo stuff

Some of my personal favorites are Gurren Lagann, Samurai Champloo and Cromartie Highschool
I was thinking of posting some links, but some are gone and others deleted. I'll try to find something to post, tho. So hang on!

Anyways... What's your favorite? Anything to recommend? What did you think of the last one you watched?

Gurren Lagann is an anime about character development, manliness og epicness. EPIC EPICNESS!
It's super-badass and everybody needs to watch it atleast once to be a complete being.
It got super-robots and stuff, but it isn't ALL super-robots. I don't like mecha anime all that much,
but I like, no, LOVE Gurren Lagann.
They even go to space to throw galaxies at each others. That's it; you are now convinced!

Going too mention a few of my favorite animes.

Initial D.
Full metal alchemist.
Hikaru no go.
Hunter x hunter.
Trigun.

There is alot more i have as favorite,can't remember them all atm ^^

Gurren lagann is an awesome serie.
I think it is a little slow at the start ,but it gets better and better.
Everyone should give it a try

I am not a bigg fan of mecha animes either, Code geass is also a mecha anime, and that is 1 of the few mecha animes i actually like.

Trigun

I have seen that! Lots of charm Even through the ending is a bit... weird xP
It's one of those old-school hand-drawn animes, ye know. Like the very first Pokemon season!
It's really funny and exciting ^^

Trigun, was 1 of the first animes i ever watched .

So i got a little speciel connection with it

Initial D,Is a car anime serie, about a boy that work with his dad at a tofu shop.
He knows nothing about cars but he drives like a God.

Everyone mite not like it,but i love it ^^

Yea it is kind of crazy.

Naruto is not really 1 of my favorite series.
It has some good parts , but mostly its boring

I think it got alot more interesting way long into the serie.
But yes it still is boring from time to time.

So lately I've been thinking bout watching some anime, but dunno which to choose. Any suggestions? Would be to prefer that it wouldn't be one of those end-less ones. About 50 episodes or less would be nice. Storywise, I got nothing. Would be cool to try something new.
Oh, and if you got a site to where it could be watched, it would be great ( Have spent hours searching for the right thing before )

Would like to recommend THE TATAMI GALAXY ! Just finished watching it. Waw tears, sure hit home.
It's about a freshman college student who wants to live the student life of his dreams, but he the choices he makes in each episode and is sent back in time. His different approaches to the same setting is fun to compare to one own's dreams. The different lives he lives are also cleverly linked. Despise being sent back in time at the end of each episode, it's not resat to zero. It's enjoyable to watch, pretty casual, but thought provoking and relatable. Strongly recommended to students!

PING PONG THE ANIMATION is by the same guy and has some of the same magic. I watched this one before tatami galaxy, but whatevrr. This one features some pretty funky animation style. Some don't really like it; I adored it. It's about a group of people who meet each other because of the sport, but the anime is not really about the sport at all. It's about humans. What their dreams are, why they keep going or why they give up. How the characters interact and affect each other is well done. Animation and music was real fresh. Making this a ride yey. This one is cool where tatami is funny, perhaps you could say. Not that it matters as you should watch both.

Apparently I'm on a fkn roll here with all dem enimes. Like, bruh

So yea, this one is Summer Wars. Seen clips from it in amvs and such, but didn't know the name. The name is stupid. The movie is really stupid. It's some nerd who end up at the family party at some castle to celebrate the birthday of some hag. So many annoying characters! So there's a lot of family drama of sorts, I guess. Side by side with the world ruling virtual world of Oz being corrupted by a virus AI thing. Wait what. Yea, they go hand in hand.. No, they don't. The scenes in the world of Oz are really cool animation-wise. It's what drew me to this in the first place. Too bad it's totally overshadowed by family drama or whatever.. and that so little here makes sense. Nothing makes sense. It's just stupid upon stupid. I wanted some trippy fancy hyperanimated video game kung fu bunny in cyber space. So yea, the animation was good, but seeing the whole thing was a waste. It's enough just seeing the clips in other videos. /rant

Oh yea saw another random one at youtube too.

GOLDEN BOY. It's six episodes long. Both sub and dub are good, they say.
It's about this 25 year old boy who's kinda a moron, but pretty clever and likeable. He gets in some trouble but stuff works out fine. It's pretty casual and nicely paced. It's another show where I could sort of relate to the character. well, compare or something idk. It's 90s anime type animation, which I like myself. It's packed with funny faces and reactions without being completely overboard. In theme it could be similar to GTO. It's a funny series with some perspective on elements in life. In some ways it's down to Earth, but for obvious reasons it's magic too. It could be boring, but it's a nice casual watch, I'd say. Oh yea, it's a lot of breasts and weird choice of clothing for many female characters.. and more. They aren't naked, but it's certainly NSFW. Guess it's educational, heh
